Hey everyone. I hope everyone is safe and healthy. I haven`t been on or posting as business and life is just super hectic right now. But all has been well here and I`m coming up on my 1 year anniversary of moving into the big shop last year.

On top of that I was finally able to bring home my dream car since I was a little kid in the early 90s when they came out. This is a 2006 SRT10 Viper. In the stunning viper blue metallic with silver stripes.

Saturday my friend and I flew out to Michigan to seal the deal and then drive it 12hrs home to Mass. I got in about 11pm and was up at 5am in the shop getting it dialed in. Overall the paint was in very nice shape only needing minor correction before being coated. I still need to do a wheels off service when time permits. But with all the race cars and other fast cars I`ve had there`s always been something that`s drawn me to these cars.

Filling up and heading home

Welcome back, and Congratulations, Justin !!!!!
Wow !!! What a Beauty !!!! Love the color and stripes !!!
I remember when the first Viper came out - 10 Cylinder Monster Motor !!! :)
I believe they were around $80k or so back then...
Awesome to be able to get one, I`m so happy for you !

Congratulations!!! Great color combo. I’ve always loved the Vipers. Iconic American sports car. If they’d released the last generation in a roadster, I would have been all over that.

Absolutely gorgeous. I`m still hoping Chrysler will take another run at the Viper...if they can hide it from the bean counters.

Thanks man! Appreciate it

That’s a sweet car! Congratulations. Had a family member buy one like that and a few days later smashed in through a telephone pole and lawn fence. Are they really that squarely that you really have be careful?

So yeah it`s a combination of the really wide rear tires 345/30/19 coupled with the usual grooves in the roadway that when you jump on the throttle if it starts to get a bit loose a inexperienced driver can loose it because it will want to dart to one side or the other if it catches the edge of the grooves in the road way. Also that big v10 makes the car a bit more nose heavy.

On nice smooth roads it`s no biggie. Just need to be cautious as to where and when you want to play.

I always assumed it was the torque that people weren’t used to. Interesting hearing about the tire size.

Yeah my other 2 vehicles make considerably more power but run a 10in wide wheel in the rear and only a 5in wide wheel in the front.

Compared to the vipers 10inch front and 13in rears. It can be a little darty on roads with grooves in them.
