Check my grocery list for KB method supplies (new to PC detailing)

I'm new to machine detailing and will be ordering supplies to polish my 2006 Nissan 350Z using the KB method.



I believe I'm going to get the Autogeek PC 7424XP/Meguiar's kit, which includes:



Porter Cable 7424XP with 5 inch backing plate

Meguiar's M105

Meguiar's M205

(3x) 5.5 in. CCS Orange Light Cutting Pads

(2x) 5.5 in.CCS Gray Finishing Pads

(2x) Cobra Microfiber Detailing Cloths



I have plenty of microfiber cloths already so no extra cloths needed. I also plan on picking up some Meguiar's #34 to help clean off any stubborn polish. I guess I'm going to use Werkstatt Acrylic Jett as the LSP, since I already have some in the garage.



My questions are:



1. How many extra pads should I order to polish & apply Acrylic Jett to an entire average-sized vehicle? I know the KB method has a lot of pad-swapping going on.



2. Anything I'm forgetting?

next If I can lead you in the right direction there is a forum member named gmblack3 ( bryan ). he is a very outstanding detailer who has great success with this method hopefully. he can chime in and help ya. if not Shoot kevin brown a pm as he is a very knowledgable man with lots of insight on this stuff. Thanks for the suggestions. I checked out the thread you linked to and ran into this in the third paragraph:

I may save this method for when I'm not a machine polishing novice. If I were to stay with the Lake Country CCS Pads, would I need more than 5 pads of each color for the M105/M205 process?
 
Probably - depends on how fast they gum up.



Or, probably not, if you don't mind cleaning them after every panel. By clean, I mean brush them, run them, over a MF with a moderate speed on the PC and use compressed air to blow them off.



Even with a thorough cleaning, the pads start to lose thier cut after awhile - and you don't want to use them when thier wet with 105/205 so better safe than sorry.
 
Ok I've abandoned the pre-assembled Autogeek kit in favor of building my own kit with single items. Here's my list now:



(1) PC 7424XP

(1) DA 5" Hook & Loop Backing Plate

(5) LC Flat Orange Light Cutting Pads

(5) LC Flat White Polishing Pads

(2) LC Flat Gray Finishing Pads

(1) Meguiar's #105 32oz.

(1) Meguiar's #205 32oz.

(1) Meguiar's #34 Final Inspection Spray 16oz.



Total: $302.93



And as before, I'll be using Werkstatt Acrylic Jett for the sealant.



How does the buy-list look now? More fitting for someone just starting out with machine polishing with one vehicle?
