cheap vinyl cleaning solution

Ok guys, what can I use to clean the vinyl inside my car with? I was thinking of using car wash, or even dawn diluted to clean it. I know a lot of ppl use the car vinyl cleaners like #39, #40, lexol vinyl cleaner and such, but I do not feel like spending anymore $$$ on stuff when I have the same product around my house(Im tired of buying products, trying to cut back and save my money) Any suggestions?

Fantastic, 409, Simple Green,Murphy Oil Soap, just about any all purpose cleaner

somebody mentioned 409 discolored their dash. Kinda scared of using that on vinyl and rubber.

A ‘Woolite’/ Water solution 1:5 will clean vinyl I just not sure about long term us, as to wither it will dry out the oils in the vinyl.



As for using kitchen/household products to detail with, did I take a wrong turn somewhere, this is Autopia right?

I like the Woolite-Mix for general cleaning duties including vinyl. I have a small dual sided fingernail brush which I use on the tougher dirt and stains on vinyl. It lathers and wipes down with no residue.

Try the wool light mis as mentioned or Deep Down from TOL.

TOL DD is dilutable and works on interior and exterior plastic, vinyl and leather.
