A few of us have been talking about a cheap Ibrid nano alternative. There was even a thread awhile back with some comments here http://www.autopia.org/forums/paint-correction-and-gloss-enhancement/186780-cool-dremel.html
I ordered 1" and 2" pads and backing plates with 3mm shanks to go along with my variable speed rotary tool, right angle attachment, and flex hose. It works great to get into tight spots like door handles, around mirrors, bumpers, door jams, painted window trim, ect. The key to this setup is a variable speed rotary tool. With the 1" pads I use speed 2 or 3 depending on how much pressure applied to the pad and which pad I`m using. With 2" pads I use speeds 3,4,or 5 depending on pad and pressure. Both the right angle attachment or the flex hose works great with the pads, just have to remember it`s a rotary and to keep the pad moving. Here are some pic`s of the setup.
