Cheap finds

Squirtgun

Pressure Washing Mafia
Was in a local thrift shop a couple times over the last 2 weeks and picked up some products cheap.

Megs products

Scratch X -$1
Gold Class wax - $1.25
NXT Tech wax - $.2.50

I also picked up a can of Turtle wax Platinum for $.94 at the local auto parts house.I handed that over to my step daughter to use on her car.

The cheaper car soap is great for those jobs like wells and rims and the likes of that....we have a dollar stores here that I should be looking in...thanks for the suggestion!

Two stores we have in my area that I try to hit occasionally would be "Dollar General" and "Big Lots".
In the past, I have found Meguiar's, Invisible Glass, 3M, products there. When Meg's seemed to be discontinuing their brush line, Big Lots had quite an assortment. I did pick up a few and should have gotten more, but by the time I went back, the stock was pretty well gone.
Both stores seem to carry a lot more junky stuff in the past year. I guess even the junk manufacturers have to clear out their stock once in a while. :)

Can the NXT and the Gold Class paste wax be used as layered products or are they stand alones strictly? If they can be layered which over which?

I think both products are actually cleaner waxes and the "layering" ability wouldn't seem to be very good.
I do think I remember Mike Phillips saying that NXT could be layered if it was applied with out rubbing it like a polish. Dunno.

Thanks Charles.

After using the NXT on the F250 and the wifes Expedition I really don't know if my shoulder could handle any more work right now.

Both trucks sure are shiny though.

FWIW, I have always felt that NXT was a better product than it has been given credit for.
I used it on our red GP for quite some time and it definitely looked good. Durability was unknown since 4 to 6 weeks is about as long as I go between applications of my LSP anyway.
The NXT definitely was not gone in a couple of weeks as some people have said.
The only complaint I had was that I felt it made the red look darker on the GP. Not necessarily a bad thing, I just didn't want a darker red.
I have also used it on black and it looked great.
For $2.50, it was a steal.

I don't think the Gold Class is terrible either. I have a friend that used it on a Maroon Taurus for several years and his car looked pretty good.
