CG Water Spot Remover *Pics*

I have been REALLY sick the last few days with some Flu BS.... I needed an excuse to leave my Bed because i was going CRAZY staying inside.

Problem: My house has REALY REALLY REALLY hard water. From years of washing my car at home with hard water, I developed water spots where on the outer side of the trunk seal in the Jams. The Water spots were REALLY BAD and VERY thick. I got sick of seeing the spots so i wanted them gone.

Solution: Chemical Guys Water Spot Remover

I decided to try CG Water Spot Remover on the problem and see what happens. The product itself is a Gel, so it doesnt drip and run where you dont want it to go. The Product itself smells HORRIBLE!! Its smells like Stinky Vagina To me. Kinda Odd because every other CG product has a Great fruity smell.

Process:: I washed the area with Soapy water and Wiped with IPA. I then used the WaterSpotRemover with a MF towel and rubbed the area. The Product does not need alot of muscle, but needs some action to do the job. I used an MF towel for the large areas. I also noticed you need to keep the gel on the area, if it soaks into the towel, it doesnt work as well. I used a Brush to apply the gel to the crevasses and agitate. Once the job was done I rinsed with Water and wiped down with IPA

Results: AMAZING!!! The spots are GONE!!! I didnt even have to work hard to get them off!!! Awesome Product that is a MUST HAVE in the collection. This will come very handy in the future!!!

Sweet, I've just been using vinegar. As for the smell, well I would wonder why you know what that smells like but I'm sure that's something that haunts you a bit...

Quite possibly one of the worst decriptions and one of the funniest descriptions for the smell, but given the results, I think it would be worth it.

Nice pics and write up.

It's GREAT stuff!

+1000

It's a must have product!

I can't confirm this (Maybe someone else can) but I think the active ingredient is muriatic acid.

This is what my local detail supply has rebottled for them. It works very very well, but it does stink. Not quite the scent of stinky va-jay-jay however.

looks great man. Depending on the price i might have to give that stuff a go and see how it works out.

How much effort did you have to put in to get the results that you did? I have some stuff now for water spots but i'm wondering if maybe this stuff might be a little better.

I have used the danase water spot remover and after three applications on a porsche jamb, the spots didnt remove completely. I was kinda of bummed. But I didnt feel like taking the door off to clean in there...

I assume the DWSR is close to the CG stuff...maybe not. I picked up some different WSR from my local place and it looks identical to that bottle with a different label. Still waiting on a car to try it out on! but I need a real test, not something that FPII on a polishing pad would take out in one quick pass! That truck area looked like a good test!

so this stuff can be used on an entire car? if so my wife's civic needs it badly. the civic that is.

Nice improvement and funny description.

Went to CG's site and I can not find it for the life of me. Even used their search and nothing. Do they even carry this anymore or is it just available form detailed image? Thanks.

Got off the phone with them and they said they can not ship it since it is an acidic based product. They sell it locally and to distributors only. Hope that helps anyone else looking for it on their site.

really? that's pretty odd if you ask me . . . . wheel brightener is acidic and they ship that. I guess some companies are just finiky with what they ship and by companies i mean shipping people.

USPS is a little more lenient. I guess now it's finding a distributor that has it in stock.
