Celebrity Presidential Endorsements

JaredPointer

COME AT ME BRO
I got to thinking who all I had seen or read about that was backing what candidate. Some are quite funny. I am going to start a list of those candidates and their celeb backers. I know this won't be comprehensive, so please add names to the list that I miss.

Mike Huckabee: Chuck Norris, Chuck Norris' Beard, Ric Flair (Whooooooooooooooooooo!), Ted Nugent

Barack Obama: Oprah Winfrey, Gene Wilder (Willy Wonka), Big Will Smith, Matt Damon, George Clooney, Halle Berry

Hilary Clinton: Marla Maples, Jenna Jameson, Jerry Springer, Barbara Streisand, Madonna, Steven Spielberg

Rudy Guliani: Ben Stein, John O'Hurley (Family Fued Host), Adam Sandler

Dennis Kucinich: Larry Flint, Willie Nelson

Mitt Romney: Donnie & Marie Osmond, every Mormon celebrity in America

Fred Thompson: Pat Sajack

John McCain: Curt Schilling (and his steroids), Jessica Simpson

From the looks of some of those, it seems that some of those endorsements would be detrimental to the person who is running to become leader of the free world. In some ways it seems sort of ironic that people like Larry Flint and Jenna Jameson would be able to influence the opinions of folks when it comes to an important issue.

Add to the list as I am sure I missed a ton, and let's keep this thread on a light note!

I love how Chuck Norris says John McCain is old when he (Norris) looks like he is injecting botox about every five minutes.

Any time I see Jerry Springer, Barbara Streisand and Madonna endorsing the same candidate, I know that candidate is not for me. Granted, Matt Damon and George Clooney endorsing Obama doesn't fare well for me either. 99 times out of a 100 a vote opposite of most of the idiots in Hollywood. I guess I will be voting with the GOP this year. Neither party really excites me hence I am an independent.

I take celebrity endorsements with a grain of salt. I usually do the intelligent thing and look at the issues. Unfortunately, these endorsements are often used to slander a candidate by those who are willing to discuss issues.

Well Jared, after you named so many personalities in your original thread, I am unable to comeup with any celebrities that have come out for a candidate.

The only thing that I could come up with is Tom Selleck. After watching him get verbally beat up by Rosie O"Donnell on her talk show a few years back I would vote for whoever he would support. I liked the way he acted during that interview and I also am in support of the NRA.

Listening to a celebrity to help you decide who to vote for should be against the law.:D

Ditto.

I have let myself become somewhat jaded and forever skeptical when it comes to politics. Can't believe much of anything that is said (good or bad) by any of the candidates or anyone who endorses them. They all have hidden agendas and make empty promises. They don't get to be where they are without owing favors and stepping on people.

In case you were wondering, I have become quite the cynic.

I've always voted according to what they say they stand for, but you would be foolish to think they really have the convictions they say they do. Their actions contradict what they say waaaaay too often.

Vote for "None of the above" - courtesy of the movie - Brewster's Millions:D

itshould be illegal for them to campaign with them.

Oprah is the worst of them all, just what we need a bunch of stay at home housewifes and moms voting for that guy just cause shes says too.

:rockonwho ever Larry Flint is voting for is good enough for me:yikes::rofl:rofl:dnaughty:dnaughty:cheers:

I can't disagree with you harry.:bigups.
Larry is truly a great american.:passout:

Although I agree that pimping out a celebrity is awful, I believe there are cases in which some have even ran for office(Ted Nuggent Michigan Gov'na) and I agree with there views and in turn will probably agree with there presidential choice.

since i am not old enough to vote yet i don't really know who i would go with.

JP you had me laughing with Chuck Norris' Beard hahahahahaha
