cats are back - the autopian horor!

The cats are jumpinn on my hood again! I guess I will have to start putting the scat pad over the towel on my hood at night as I have the past two winters.



On a brighter note I washed today for the 5th time after using RMG followed by Souveran Paste wax. It seems to be holding up pretty well.



By the way, I am a cat lover not a hater. In fact I've spent about half of my life working on (with) cats as a veterinarian.

ah...i know the cat problem...my neighbor's cat likes to sleep on my hoodscoop during the colder months. there's nothing i can do to stop her. i'm just glad she never uses her claws :)
 
The cats in this area do use their claws! Makes me wish I had a garage, but there is no hope of that as we are at maximum lot coverage, and half of our lot is water. Here is another photo after washing.

whos got the keyz to the bimmer....simseema........SWEET RIDE MAN!! i also like the light tint i normally like jet blk tint but yours looks sweet.
 
Fortunately (for the cat) the stray in the neighborhood has only taken to claiming my rims, otherwise I'd have to set up a 'Wile E. Coyote' type surprise for him

I don't think its cats claws that causes scratching. It's the dirt that sticks to the pads of their feet, then gets dragged across your paintwork.

If your lucky all that happens is the dirt gets left behind and not dragged as shown in those photos :D .

In the past, it has been their claws leaving the scratches...the pant has been so slick from the constant upkeep that when they jumped up, they started to slide and dug in to keep from falling :hairpull :angry :wall :soscared:
 
I have two years experience with the cat scratches on my M3's hood, and I agree with Don. I think my car is so slick from Souveran, Wolfgang, Poorboy's Ex or whatever that the cats need to dig in to not slide off the hood. The scratches take a considerable amount of polish (DACP with a rotary) to polish out, and I am resigned to the fact that eventually I may have to repaint the hood. Wish I had a garage, but this is just not going to happen.

I think my next car will be silver.
