Castrol cleaner safe for my rims?

My rims have gotten a little dirty since I've used my car for work a few days (I shiver everytime I need to drive the car to work) and I want to clean the rims on my lunch break but don't have much time.

I used some Castrol cleaner on my fathers van last night, the bottles says "full strenght" for rims/tires and man does it work well. My fathers tires were brown, I sprayed the foam on and in less than 10 seconds the foam was dark brown. He has polished rims, not painted like my car. Just wondering if you guys have heard anything about this cleaner I should know before I use it on my rims.

It seems as it is a true spray on/off cleaner but the polished metal of his rims were not dirty so I am just speaking from what I saw with the tires.

Some detailers in my neck of the woods use Castrol products. There is Boss Wash,Trans Wash,Wonderclean (multi purpose cleaner),rim and tyre sheen and a few others

Most products are around $20-$30 for 5 litres.

I've been going through the automotive Simple Green like water this summer- I find it gentler than the Castrol cleaner I've used in the past. It pulls the dirt & grime right off, but doesn't seem harsh on the finish. It also helps was the tires, bringing out a deep, clean black before dressing.
