CarQuest not selling DuraGloss anymore.

I was not happy to see this stuff off their shelves. But they've discounted it pretty darn good.
Aqua Wax(951) is $4 a bottle. The GL jug of car wash(902) is $11. Tire gloss is $3. If they still have any at your location, it would be in their back room.
Just FYI to who likes that brand.

Is it worth buying? Reason I ask is that one of their regional distribution centers is right down the road from me, and has a store attached. If they're having a fire sale it may be worthwhile.

I thought CQ was bought out by AutoZone or Advanced Auto several months ago. No?

I too like to buy products locally sometimes. If not in stock, its available next-day. No shipping just a nominal sales tax fee. Even my Meguiar's shop didn't have D114 in stock last year, but, they delivered it the following day and at a discount from MSRP.

Hmm, still $27 at my Carquest. Did Advance only buy out a region of CQ stores maybe? If it was a national buyout, I'll have to keep watching.

My CarQuest was shut down last year. They had a decent DG selection, sorry to see it go.

I have tried two NAPA stores and they both don't have DG. I asked about it at the counter. The closest DG was two states away!

The CQ HQ is here in Raleigh and have a number of buildings around the main building. All the signs are still up but have not been in the store at the HQ. It was no different than any other. They must not sell a lot of detailing stuff since most stock was usually dusty.

DG is also in NC, right? Makes sense.

Ha, yes, all the DG stuff I have bought at CQ was dusty too. I think too many people around here just buy what's at the big box stores.

Car Quest seems to be sell more to established repair shops (replacement parts) and less oriented to detailing like AA and AZ.
