This isn't really a review, but I just had a chance to try my bottle of HydroFoam from CarPro. For those that doesn't know, HF is a cleaner soap and LSP all in one product.
The dilution CarPro recommends is 1:9 - no matter if your using it in a sprayer, bucket, or "foaming lancer" - as CarPro calls it on the bottle. This doesn't make a lot of sense to me, because if you mix it in the foam cannon @ 1:9, the concentration that hits the panel is significantly less, as this doesn't account for the water diluting the solution added by the pressure washer. This makes me wonder if you can dilute it even more if you are using it in a sprayer.
Anyway, when I saw this stuff - I saw it as a God send if it works for wheels and coated plastics. Just clean and protect those surfaces with one step.. Usually I use Permanon, but that's a second step after the surfaces are clean.
So, I used this stuff in a spray bottle mixing about 2 & 1/2 oz with 20oz of distilled water using a foaming sprayer. I thought it was odd the stuff has no real color. Dunno why - I always expect shampoos to have a color - it's basically clear, so the mixture is clear. I used it on my wheels, and other plastic parts coated with DLux, like the wiper cowl and fog light surrounds.
Stuff seems legit. Sprays out foamy like any other shampoo. Cleaned my wheels, mud flaps, and trim as good as any other shampoo. The foam seems to be mid level as shampoos go, but remember - it's mixed with an LSP.
The exciting part was rinsing it off and seeing the strong hydrophobics and crazy beading. The beading is legit - as good as Permanon. They say it lasts up to 3 months. I dunno. I usually only get 2 washes or so out of Permanon, but I kept using it just because it's so easy. This stuff is even easier.
HF costs a lot, but even if only lasts 2 months - it's prolly worth it, just because it's saves a whole step. I didn't noticing any streaking. I can see it being a huge time saver if your just going to use it as an LSP - which I may do.
If you have low dust brakes and clean your wheels with soap, I can't see why you would use anything but his stuff. I think a 16oz bottle cost me around $20. But the ease of use makes it worth it.
