CarPro Hydr02 vs Hydro02 Lite

HydrO2 is concentrated and should be diluted per the instructions on the bottle prior to use... HydrO2 Lite is heavily diluted at a Ready-to-use mixture.

HydrO2 must be sprayed onto a wet surface, then rinsed off.
HydrO2 Lite can be sprayed onto a wet surface and rinsed off OR sprayed onto a dry surface and wiped off.
 
Depends, if you don`t apply Hydro2 properly it`s a pain and if you mix hydro2 wrong or too strong it`s even worse due to the fact you have to buff out all the run marks. If your new to hydro and products like it, get the lite.
 
I can`t recall where I read this, but ~technically~ isn`t HydroLite Hydro2 - just in a very diluted form with a added tweak here or there.

DSchribs. I myself have Hydro2 and Hydro Foam. I use Hydro2 on the WW. Have not used it on paint yet.
I do plan to try one of them during the mid-winter, just as a quick booster/topper.
 
I use Hydro2 a lot on our work trucks, I like it diluted 5:1 to 6:1 and even have great luck using it as a spray and wipe at those dilutions. With it more Diluted you need and extra spray or 2 per panel to get full coverage but its way easier to control. I spray 2-4 sprays hit with power washer for 20-30 seconds and you can usually tell if part the panel needs an additional spray by the beading. 95% the time I use it it is on a vehicle that has only been washed as its prep not even clayed or prep toweled or hit with IPA just a wash and I still get 2-3 months of solid beading and assumed protection.

I`ve got Hydro2 on my truck now and love it. I use it for my basic wash and sealant package diluted 1:5 with distilled water. Distilled water is a biggie I think which isn`t a problem since I always have gallons on hand for my steamer. Just make sure to use a lot a lot a lot of water to rinse it off. I`ve heard of guys having problems using pressure washers to rinse it off, I`m guessing from just being too aggressive with the water. You want a solid stream, but not pressure washer stream. Then I use a blower (DP Turbo Car Dryer for now, looking for a MasterBlaster soon) to dry before finally using a PFM towel.

From what I have been told, HydrO2 diluted to the recommended 6:1 (water:product) is still only intended for spray on, rinse off application. HydrO2 Lite can be applied to a dry panel and wiped off. Therefore it isn`t quite as cut and dry as one is ready to use and one is concentrated. I believe HydrO2 Lite is quite a bit more diluted than HydrO2 mixed 6:1

Gyeon WetCoat will do the same. First time I used it I sprayed entirely too much and it left spots all over the paint.
 
For those familiar, any issues on glass. Interwebs seem to suggest yes and no.
In Coreys Hydr0 demo video, he pretty much sprays almost everything.
 
Love it on side and rear windows and over plastics seems fine. Windshield is only spot I find it works good but does not last few weeks at best, guessing it cant take the wiper abuse or could just be my lack of prep. i prep properly when I do McKee`s glass coating I love that.

So streaking, noise, chatter - ill effects, on glass then. So one could literally just apply liberally , as long as it`s rinsed proper and diluted proper ?

I have not had any ill effects from it. Only time I got streaking or chatter while using it was when i needed to clean my wiper blades or change them. Like Ray said biggest think is rinsing enough and quick enough. I use power washer and I work from bottom up rinsing it almost like reading a book in reverse and that seems to work well for me.
 
Also I started using McKee`s glass coating few months ago and have not noticed ill effects from over spray of Hydro2 getting on windows. I also do a quick blow dry to get creases and crevices dry then I wipe dry with a waffle weave and Ultima Waterless wash as a drying aid.
