Carpet cleaning technique

Hey guys I got a few questions about ways to clean the carpets.



I have several APC's and Folex. Also have the blue PC carpet brush.



Folex says to agitate with your fingers and then blot dry.



What would be technique?



1. Vaccuum

2. Spray APC

3. Agitate with brush

4. Vaccuum

5. Spray folex

6. Agitate with fingertips

7. Blot dry



Would that work good or could I skip the APC step and just use the brush to agitate the Folex and then blot/vacuum dry?
 
I would use either the APC or the Folex, it shouldn't be necessary to use both. First vacuum the area to be cleaned. Then apply either the Folex or APC and let it dwell for a couple minutes. Next use your brush to agitate the carpet. Finally use your wet/dry vac to extract the the excess liquid.
 
I first vacuum the carpet. Next, I apply the folex with a spray bottle and allow to sit for a few minutes. I then agitate with my PC white brush. I will then apply ZEP carpet cleaner and allow to sit for a few and then agitate. Finally, I will extract with my Mytee Lite using ONLY water, and no soap in the high pressure nozzle. I have had excellent results using this technique.
