Carpet cleaning idea

I have some extremely stubborn stains on my car's interior carpet. I've had no luck trying to scrub them out with a myriad of cleaners.



I was thinking of just taking the carpet out of the car (this would only take about 20 minutes) and having it professionally steam cleaned like the carpet in my house. It seems that doing this one time to get the carpet totally clean would be less effort than getting in there on my hands and knees and scrubbing all afternoon.



Are there any reasons that I may not want to do this?

I dont see a problem doing this. The only possible problem, if i had to come up with one, is that the padding (sound inuslation I beleive) on the back side of the carpet that is glued there, may come unglued. Other than that, I cant think of anything. This is acutally an excellent idea in my opinion!

A lot of peeps have been getting good results pre-treating stains with OxiClean and then steam cleaning the carpet.
