Carpet Cleaning Extractors?

I just cleaned the carpets/upholstery in my Van today using the 6:1 Woolite method. Needless to say it did a fantastic job of cleaning and removing stains. I used the Bissell green machine to extract the excess water.

The green machine did a good job but it still left the carpet/upholstery damper than I would have liked. Can anyone tell me if a ShopVac/Craftsmans would have sucked more water out. I know Sears has a 6.5 hp model and wasn't sure if this would be a better option. I know the Sensei or Ninja extractors would be best but I don't want to spend that kind of $$$.
