Carnuba over a Sealant

I have a 04 Acura TL that I would like to prepare the exterior for the winter months. Any suggestions on what sealant I should apply and layer with a carnuba? I've tried Zaino in the past and layered it with a carnuba but I didn't get depth I anticipated. I'm looking for both a sealant and carnuba that can be hand appled. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Don't forget Klasse! I am a huge fan of Klasse, UPP, and Wolfgang is good too.

Me personally, living in MN, I like to top my winter-ready sealant job with Collinite because of how long it lasts. In the summer I could care less if a carnauba lasted a long time or not, but I don't want to have to rewax in -30 degree weather! :D :(

Sealant - My personal favorite is Klasse

Wax - I'd give the nod to #16 if you want long-term protection for the coming winter months. It's one of the longest lasting carnaubas on the market today, and the formula hasn't been changed in nearly 50 years...go figure!

I'll be the "odd man out."

I'm lazy. Old and fat. And, I like it that way. Let the younguns' run around chasing women, humping a pack and rifle through the jungle (uhhhh desert nowadays).

Anyway..... I'm using Nu Finish paste, 2 coats, on a white Silverado. Gonna' grab a quality carnuba for a pretty finish coat and to help preserve the sealant when the salted winter roads arrive.

With the 2 coats of Nu Finish the truck looks purdy darn good!!!!

Try to get something that's formulated for carnauba. To be honest, if you can get a nice polish under a few coats of pure carnauba wax, then that should serve your purpose well. My favorites are Mother's California Gold polish or Meguiar's polish.

To me, carnauba will develop its best resolution when its mated to products that are formulated to accept carnauba wax, and/or if it is as close to your actual, clean paint surface as possible.

If you've already tried Zaino, and want something "different" to last you right through winter, I'd recommend Klasse topped with whatever PASTE wax you've read about here that tickles your fancy. :) Use something like Collinite over the Klasse and you'll probably need a blowtorch to strip it off come springtime. ;)

Moved to Detailing btw.....

Ive used a lot of different sealants and maybe it's just the color vehicles Im doing but Ive never really seen much difference in topping with a carnuba. Or maybe its that Im using the wrong carnuba. I've used Poorboy's EX-P, Tropi-Care TC-3 (Both pink and yellow), AIO & SG and Glanz Wax all topped with S100 and it just doesnt seem to look any different.

For the winter, Im probably going to try a couple of combinations on my cars and see which one holds up/looks best. Probably do 1Z Glanz with Collenite on one vehicle and Tropi-Care TC3 with Collenite on the other. So many products :( I need to stop ordering.
