Carnauba wax over Collonite 845?

I am wondering if it's a good idea to put a carnauba wax over 845. Will there be adhesion issues? The car was prepped using M105/205 and sealed with CG Ez glaze if that matters.

What are some decently priced waxes that I can top 845 with for a daily driver?

For a daily driver, I would stick with 845! Its durability is outstanding, and it looks pretty good, too.

You can, of course, top 845 with any carnauba-based wax, but you may be compromising 845's durability if you do so.

If you insist on topping it, how about topping it with Collinite 915?

Top #845 with some Natty's Red......the oils will shimmer on the paint.

I had some Nattys blue lying around so I just used that. Looks pretty good but I am noticing swirls that I left behind. I am still a noob with my G110.

IMO I actually wouldnt top a wax with a different wax, there could be bonding issues, if you want to have durability with shine you should go with a sealant + caranuba. The only deal with it is that you have you let the sealant cure. then top with a wax

Right now I have 1 layer of ksg and 1 layer of 845. I can say that it is doing well!!!

You could try a sealant+caranuba combo!

In the future, I probably will stick with the lone layer of 845 over a sealant for my daily driver. I got pretty nice depth from the carnauba, but for my car, I want durability first. I`ll use carnauba only for shows.

This is the result by the way:

I've never had any problems applying a different wax over top of 845, and I've tried a few that way. No compromise of the durability; the waxes don't seem to effect a solvent-action on the 845.

You could tweak the look of the 845 just a bit by using something that gives a different look (compared to the bright look 845 leaves)...maybe something like Meg's #26.

For *real* durability, I'd top the 845 with their 476S, which is more durable IME than (just one or two layers of) most sealants.
