carnauba or sealant shine?

Which one do you guys prefer a carnauba shine like pinnacle, s100 or hard shine from a sealant like klasse, crystal guard, zaino, etc...???

Yupper, you'll get both camps tossing out their opinions on this!

For what it's worth my choice is a good carnuba. So much depends on whether the car is garaged, desired longevity of the product, how much time you have to spend on detailing, and of course the look you're after. etc.

Ok, so it's one for the carnuba camp !!!

I like both also. Currently testing a "sealant" with souveran over the top. I like to think of sealants as a "big summer action picture"(they always have their place but some people think they're over the top), and I like to think of carnubas as the "best picture of the year winner"(you know it's gonna be a good movie but will everyone appreciate everything that went into it to make it different from every other hollywood movie released that year)"... Okay so I went off topic!

i like carnauba, especially the wet look associated with it, but when it comes down to practicality, and the intervals between when ill actually have time to wash and wax my car, id have to end up going with a sealant

can i vote for both?

i love the shine and crispness that a sealant gives, but there's nothing like topping that crispness with a carnauba.

i have Glanz Wax ( i know, not a true sealant, but i think it looks like a sealant rather than a wax) on my car currently, and today i threw on a coat of S100 and it improved the wetlook and depth of it immensely.

that said, the car doesn't look the same when i just put S100 on it ... i'm gonna be indecisive and say i prefer both ... together.

Paper, much better for the environment.

Oh, we're talking sealant vs carnauba...

I like both. On my Arctic Pearl White, they give a different appearance, but I like both. It comes down to my mood, time available, season, etc... Sealants give it more of a crisp, in your face type appearance. Carnauba's give it more of a warm, shimmering glow.

But no matter which I use as my LSP, I like having a layer or two of sealant atleast for the added protection. I've also found that carnauba during the pollen season really attracts the stuff (did half the hood with each this past spring. Amazing difference).

Ditto both. Sealant stays there for months, giving a base shine. The carnauba on top simply looks great, is easy to renew monthly or thereabouts. I use the WG twins, with Pinnacle on top with great results.

I prefere Klasse as it tends to give the best "wet looking" finish IMO

i found the WG to give that "salad oil" shiny look which I don't like

My current preference is Klasse without a carnuba topper. I like the look and it stays looking good longer. I reserve the right to change my mind anytime.
