I keep seeing that caranuba is the best for that show car shine. But Ive been told to use things with caranuba in them... is there a solid caranuba polish out there and why not just use it???

As far as I know there is not a 100% carnuba wax. Carnuba is a wax not a polish. Poorboy's has a product that's a polish that has some carnuba in it. It's called Poorboy's Polish with Carnuba. There are plenty of carnuba waxes on the market. Does this answer your question?

wax in paste form has a higher concentrate of carnuba and then it usually depends on price. The higher the carn. the higher the price. (usually) My main concern when detailing is getting the surface prepared properly beforethe carnuba..

I think the most Carnauba you can have is around 55% by weight. P21S/S100 is a great carnauba because they use beeswax to make it go on easier and it remains soft enough to be usable.

Sorry only about 17% is maximum for Carnauba:(

Why doesnt it make sense that if carnauba is that great, it doesnt come pure or atleast more so?

because it's as hard as a rock...and pretty damn ugly too...it has to be processed and then mixed with solvents and sometimes other types of waxes

think of trying to wax your car with a candle...wouldn't work:nono
