Car wash owners may not like this one...Black Saab and 2 years of local washes...

Nice. It's amazing how harsh automatic washes are on your paint. Of course the car wash guys see it differently.....
 
Eeekkk... poor Saab. Owner must have been quite pleased to have a fresh looking car after looking so dull and lifeless.
 
Nice video Rob, and great save! I met a guy the other day with a black Suburban who tells me he bought a package with the local tunnel wash and runs it through once a day, every day. Kinda dreading what I find when that call comes in :soscared:
 
When I 1st showed up here I wrote something about how bad it is to do this to a car and was amazed how people continue to get their cars washed at the roller car washes and how it ruins the paint. And the response I got from a seasoned AP'er was that this is considered job security?! Kind of hurt my feelings at 1st but then I realized, they were right.



Now speaking of this car and it's lifetime of washes. I took my rather meticulously maintained Crystal Black Pearl Honda Fit to the local Honda dealer to have a recall issue taken care of and I asked them to NOT WASH MY CAR. I wasn't an *** about it but my request was lost in the shuffle. My paint looks just like this Saab now. Sucks but gives me a reason to polish it up again. So add stupid dealer washing cars carelessly to the list of 'job security'?
