car wash nozzles

thanks for the reply but whats so good about that one from ebay

durable moreso than the plastic ones, and I tend to prefer the spray pattern from them over what the "rotary head" ones can give. :nixweiss

Ultimate Nozzle, foam gun, cut off switches and quick disconnects. These are the essentials for me.

is it called the ultimate nozzle Bill? I remember talking about that quickdisconnect thing in anonther thread but thats only if im going to be using various nozzles right?

I usually use the quick disconnect fittings for when I'm done washing. I still use the "cascading" flood the paint technique for drying, so I just run open hose. Get most of it off, then use a leaf blower for the rest. Blot any remaining with a MF or two. :up

I've never quite caught onto this foam gun craze; maybe that's just because I do *regular* hand washes so infrequently any more (either run through a tunnel wash with a car I'm about to do a full polish on anyways, or QEW if it's not very dirty.) :xyxthumbs

I prefer the ultimate style hose nozzle like the one in this link but you can get them in Home Depot or Lowes for $20 .. goes from hard stream to gentle flow for flushing and pulling off water .. I also like that the end is all rubber covered and no metal or plastic to scratch the paint if you accidentally clip it .. I can also just drop it without fear of it breaking .. Had mine over a year now and abused the hell out of it .. just like new.

ill try to snap some pics of my hose setup tommorow

i just use stuff from home depot, works fine

in line sediment filter

brass shutoff valves + quick connects

1 regular hose nozzel

1 1' section of hose for sheeting

HD commercial hose

I just bought my Ultimate Hose Nozzle at Home Depot and I love it. It has a life time warranty. It cost 20 dollars. I also bought the brass shut-off I like them too. Wes

6']['9- None of your posted choices looked very appealing to me. I too think you oughta get some version of the "ultimate" nozzle. I"ve been using (the overpriced :o ) ones from Griot's forever, and they still work like new. That's after literally thousands of drops onto concrete floors.

As everyone here probably knows already, I agree with Bill D. as to what the "essentials" are :xyxthumbs But I also believe in "redundant systems" for each side of the car. Money well spent IMO.

Well, I usually don't have them both running at the same time. But I *do* have a booster pump/holding tank setup too...
