Car shampoos/washes

I've been doing a little reorganizing over the past month and I got to the cabinet that holds my car washes. I didn't realize how many I had until I got into the cabinet. I normally buy car washes in gallon sizes but I had several that were smaller sizes.

Normally I keep a couple 16oz bottles in my bucket so I don't get into the cabinet much. Right now I have Boackfire, PB, Ultima in my bucket. In my cabinet I found a gallon of DG 901, more Ultima, CG HoneyDew, DP Xtereme Foam, ShowroomFX car wash

I like using different car washes, I think its nice to use different products just to change things up. I have favorites that I continue to buy and others that I tried once and won't buy again once I run out. Does anyone like to switch car washes or do you normally stick to what you like?

I was at a phase where I tried them all and had tons of shampoos. Now I have about 3 I really like. I do switch between those three as it is nice to use different shampoos to keep the wash process fun.

Can I ask what your favorite 3 are Jim? I have and have used quite a few different soaps. I am really liking Meg's Hyperwash.

I think car washes and waxes are the only thing I really have a variety of. I stick to what I like on most everything else.

I have a variety since they are inexpensive and you can use them regularly.

My favorite has been Optimum. It has a great smell, cleans well, inexpensive especially at 1/2 ounce per gallon, easy to acquire (everyone sells it), and generate lots of suds if you like suds. I am not sure it is the easiest rinsing but not a major issue,

I also like Do DO Born to be Mild and have CG Maxi Suds and Adams that I use. I also have some CG Citrus Wash and Gloss that I have used for stripping. Plus I have Mothers, Wolfgang, and Pinnacle.

Blackfire is very nice and would pick up more on a good sale. Ultima is also nice.

On the shelf to try: CG Honey Dew, Auto Finesse Lather, Wolf's White Satin.

I have found the dilution has a lot to do with the experience. Mfg recommendations are often vague such as inaccurate capfuls or add soap and fill a bucket.

I bet I could guess one or two of Jim's favorites just from his older posts

I have a few favorites but there still others I hear great things about that I want to try. Several of the ones in my collection I got for free or at a huge discount so I figure it doesn't hurt to keep buying when I find a good deal

HA, I was going to ask the same thing!! :lol2:

Well since u asked Bobby.........

1: Auto Finesse Lather
2: Optimum
3: CG Citrus Wash and Gloss

I do agree with you guys about Meg's Hyper Wash.... Very nice shampoo. Actually Bobby, you sent me a healthy sample a few months back and I have gone thru a gallon since.

Dodo BTBM is also awesome but the unavailibity of the 500ml bottles has turned me off of this shampoo.

BTW jk Troy!! Hehehe

I have used almost an entire 16oz of BF soap. And I will say it is nice. When used in conjunction with BFWD, BFCS, BFMS it is a great soap. It seams to increase the look and the beading remains great.

But I have had issues using it with other LSP products. When using non-BF LSP the soap seems to leave a film that messing with the beading and sheeting until the "film" wears off. This is odd to me that it does this but with BF products it has no issues and seems to enhance the LSP. I guess that would be the Synergetic Excellence in the BF line.
