Car Scents

I was trying to get my father's Taurus wagon cleaned up to sell last weekend. It's white and halfway down the sidepanels is a raised plastic trim strip, about 2 inches wide. On the upper edge of the trim is an off-color residue that almost looks like an adhesive. Claying the area had no effect. Are those strips glued on?

The strips are held in place with an adhesive tape strip, usually. Try denatured alcohol or aerosol brake parts cleaner. It won't hurt the paint and will remove any adhesive or wax residue. You will need to re-wax.

Nothing smells nice to me :2 cents:

You never know if your client may suffer an allergic reaction and either break out sneezing or break-out in hives. Plus what you think might smell nice, they may think it smells like horse a$$ :cursing:

If you absolutely must, go with Ozium. I couple of squirts goes a long way

Didnt we just talk about this not long ago?

I like the smell of Einzett Cockpit Classic best, but their Deep Cleaner for plastic and Cockpit Premium also smell good to me.

Generally for me, by the time Im done steaming, cleaning, and treating the different surfaces, the combination of smells is all good and all my different products seems to compliment each other.

Never had anyone complain of get sick after I finished the interior; on the contrary, everyone has loved the look, feel, and the smell/s.

I wonder what a Stripper Scent smells like.

But, I had not been interested in scents until our Sebring became home to a mouse. It nested twice and I finally found the mouse dead under the back seat after searching for that "dead" smell.

I had picked up a PB scent (Cherry) and use it (sprayed carpets, in vents, etc). It did smell wierd for a while but have to admit once the cherry smell abated it was a nice change.

When used in very modest amounts against bad smells, I think it is worth the trade off.

Yankee Candle "Car Jars" - Leather Scent is very pleasant. I leave it in the cellophane package, slice open the end and shove it under the seat... not too strong that way. Lasts about 3 months.
