Car no longer slippery, and I just waxed it yesterday

Yesterday I applied my 3rd coat of SG around 7PM, didn't remove it till 11AM today. It was really smooth and some what slippery, but not to the point where MF towels would slide off of it. Around 2PM I took a drive up in the mountains and it rained, went to see the Hulk hurried back home to wash off the rain off of my car. I just used water and then dried it and when the car was dry I ran my hands on it and it was sticky, squeaky clean... What happened? You think my SG is gone or what?



Also how do you guys make your car really slippery, can you do this with SG or just carnuba
 
Sg is not really known, IMO, for its slickness, as opposed to its durability. I rarely use it for that reason. Most people think if it feels slick, then you did a good job, which is not really the case. There are products that give both, Platinum will, so will BF II, I even top those with S100 for additional sensory pleasure !!Cnsider a layer of carnauba (pure) on top of your SG. Or, maybe your prep work was lacking something ? Be sure, if you do decide to top it, that your using a non cleaner carnauba.....S100 is highly recommended on this forum.....
 
I find that with whatever product I use, after a wash, the slickness is gone. As slick as Zaino may be after a wash, it still isn't as slick as it is after you apply a coat to the car. After using a QD, the slickness will come back some, but again, not to the point of a freshly applied coat. I'm not that familiar with AIO or SG, but I guess you can try using a QD on the paint to see if it'll bring the slickness back.

I wish I could comment better on the slickness of Klasse, but my coats have spent most of their life buried under wax. Some of the panels where the wax may be gone are not very slick but I wouldn't say they're as grippy as bare paint.
 
SG does not feel as slick as UPP or Zaino. I need to use Z6 after a wash to get back the Zaino buttery smooth feel. But they all look great. And who needs all that slickness anyway? It just makes your beer cooler slide off the hood.
 
My SG isn't really slippery either. More like a (super thin) coating of plastic over the paint.



OUCH- your SG isn't gone, not by a long shot. For a quick/easy way to increase the slickness (if only between washes), use a synthetic-friendly QD after you wash. I've had good results using BF's QD over SG. Made it a LOT slicker, and improved the look, too.
 
NY, wouldnt you think think that would warrant a new coat of sealant ? I'd be more comfy with the BF myself....
 
Even though I'm a real nut for clay (spot-clay with every wash), I think he's OK without that since his finish was sorta slippery when he first applied the SG. If it's something that needs clayed that's under the SG, it's back to square one. Now the NEXT time he's redoing it from scratch, yeah, NYD, he oughta REALLY clay it thoroughly.
