Car Care Products and Oil Sheen After Rain...

Is it unusual for car care products (i.e. waxes, polishes, tire/trim dressing) to cause an oily sheen to puddle around car after rain or wash? I don't detect any oil leaks, but the oily rainbow effect constantly has me looking for them.
 
Could you be specific on the products. I have seen some tire dressings do that but not so much now a days.
 
I have used that a bit and never noticed anything .. were your tires cleaned first with an apc etc ? Or applied over another dressing.
