can't get on MOL

Hi Joe,



Both websites went down this morning when a cable was cut through during some excavation. Hopefully they will be back online soon as I have information to post and when we went down we were at 999 members, so I wanted to capture a screen shot of the 1000 member, maybe send them a surprise!

aw yes! the ol' cable was cut excuse.



I tried to use that one the other day--"HEY WHY IS THERE SWIRL MARKS STILL IN MY PAINT?"





UUUUUH - the cable was cut through during some excavation, thats why.
 
I suppose this gave me a reason to register here at Autopia... I lurk constantly (well, constantly is a poor choice of words.... hourly is a bit more sufficient)...



All I knew was I couldn't log on to MOL... glad to see that it's something simple like a cable. I was in the dark.

It started out as a cable, and then a disk drive had a fatal crash.



Hopefully we'll be back up soon.

**Disk Drive Crash Causes Meguiar's Online to go Offline**



Wednesday morning the disk drive that is responsible for the software that runs Meguiar's Online Discussion Forum suffered a fatal crash.



A new disk drive has been installed, and the most recent back-up of the database has been loaded. Any new posts or new member registrations since the approximately 5-20-2004 have been lost. Any pictures loaded into the Gallery since 5-19-2004 has also been lost.



We apologize for this disruption. A new disc drive has been installed, and a new back-up system is being put into place to insure this doesn't happen again.
