Can someone please double check me on my PC steps

Hey guys I am in the process of my first full detail and PC job on my Jetta. I purchased me PC 7424 a few months ago and I have finally started. So far I have done just my hood and have been very happy with the results. To start, the car had a good amount of swirls and minor scratches. Here are my steps:



wash car

clay bar

PC 7424 with Optimum Polish II and an orange LC 4" pad

PC 7424 with Menzerna Polish PO85RD and a green LC 4" pad

Duragloss Polish Bonding Agent with mircofiber

Duragloss Total Performance Polish with microfiber

Duragloss Aquawax



Can anyone tell me if I am taking the correct steps? So far the results seem to be about 99% especially for my first time polishing. Thanks in advance!

You might want to use a QD or ONR the panel after Claying to remove any residue. Other than that I think your process looks good. I use a PC w/the LC Orange pad and OP and find it to be a combination.



I have not used any of those other products so I can't comment on those.

I assume the green pad used with PO85RD is the finishing pad version and not the more porous heavy polishing version. The best pad is probably a LC black finishing pad.
