can someone break down pad colors for me?

I think that i need orange pads and maybe the grey pads. This is going to be used for a car that has new paint so i dont think i need the white pads. is it right that i will use the orange pads first, with a polish to remove swirl/buffer marks, and then the grey to apply glaze? perhaps you guys could break down the pads and what product each applies.

Between the two you can get an idea of what level abrasiveness goes with what color of pad.



In general folks here recommend that if you need to do any defect removal, start with the least aggressive product/pad combo you have in your arsenol and work your way more aggressively as needed. You can just do one small section of the car and keep checking results until you find the pad/product that is working well.
