Thread says it pretty much can NXT paste wax be layered?

If I remember correctly doesn't NXT have cleaners cause on the box it says eliminates fine swirls and scratches? So this wouldn't be a good topper wax on a sealant or on a glaze:nixweiss ?

Seen alot of good NXT paste wax pics on dark colors recently

Thanks for any help

meguiars online about topping and layering NXT

"On the subject of how long to wait before applying a second, or third coat of NXT Tech wax, or apply a different wax over the top of an initial coat of NXT Tech Wax, I spoke with our Vice President of Research and Development and here is what he said.

For maximum protection and beauty, it would be best to allow approximately 12 hours to pass to insure all of the synthetic polymers to fully set-up. He explained that in some areas, the polymers will cure and set-up sooner, while some polymers will cure and set-up later. Because there is no way to measure or know when all of the polymers have fully, and completely set-up, he said for maximum performance, you should allow a window of time, approximately 12 hours to pass."

The above is a guideline for the most detailed oriented, serious enthusiasts that enjoy polishing the paint on their cars and don't mind spending this kind of time on their car's finish."

Personally, I don't care about layering one bit. I care how well a product does with 1 or 2 applications. NXT fills that bill quite well, IMO. If the next time I apply it the specialized cleaners remove some of the remaining NXT, it really doesn't matter because it will still protect as well as the first application did.

NXT cleaners are very light. It won't remove any previously applied layers that have cured. Depth and gloss noticeably improved with each application.

Haven't tested with other sealants, though, but there's a thread on MOL with NXT paste applied over #21 and it looked really good to me.

if you want to layer buy zaino...I don't think the .0000000001" of an extra layer will add any more protection or really any "extra" shine....recipie for extra shine - wash then wax = shine...your choice of products to fill in and add

To each his own. I think NXT does layer, and if it doesnt , then it fills gaps left by the previous application. It does increase in gloss with multiple applications, IMHO

two coats for a more even finish is not what I'm referring to ...just the 87 layers of zaino theory...which before I get flamed is I'm sure a great product...I just don't subscribe to the layering theory...you can get great results from one (or two) coats..

I am sure you are correct. The results are in the prep stage ! As for Zaino, I have done as many as 8 coats, but I have no desire to do so many as to weigh my car down.... Maintaining the shine with Z5 to prevent spider webbing caused by washing, etc- doesnt count as a coat to me . So , if you count the maintenance angle, I may have a lot more coats....
