Will it leave swirl marks ? Should I go back over afterwards with a higher grit but do it by hand ? Any opinions ?
Let me explain a little better so you guys know what I have in mind.
I have a door that I'm gonna paint, here is what I'm gonna do.
Sand the old paint of with thie oribital sander, sand it down to primer using the oribital sander, the last pass I'll be using 400 grit, I'll be using the oribital sander to prep the surface, nothing done by hand on this pass.
( should this leave swirl marks )
Then I'm gonna apply another NEW coat of primer, and wetsand this down by hand with 400 grit sand paper. Then pobably put the base coat on. Anyone see anything wrong with the prep job ?
