Collinite 845?

A friend of mine has some and said it dies great on black cars. I have a black magic Vw GTI and am going to do a full detail on July 4 weekend. I searched the forums and alot of you guys seem to like and use collie 845. I am wondering if it will interfere with hd poxy or if it is overkill.

I do not see why not but in all honesty from what I know and heard about Poxy you not want to top it with anything I would use one or the other if it was me

Ya I have to agree. I've been using Poxy a lot lately and I think topping it would be superfluous from both a looks and durability perspective. I don't see why you couldn't top it, but I wouldn't.

The reason I was thinking about topping it with 845 was because we are about to enter Florida summer. This means 90+ degrees with 90 + humidity and rain about 3x a week. From what I have read 845 does good in high temps.

I was just wondering if it would benefit me to do it. Thanks for the replies.

I'd say do a 50/50 of topping it on your hood or roof (since they typically take the most of the beating from the sun) and document it. I would do another layer of Poxy on one side and top off your existing layer on the other side with Collinite. Best way to find out and you'll know how to do FL summer preps better in the future.
