Can I substitute Klasse SG with Meg's #7

I'm getting anxious to move up to a combo process (sealant + carnuba). However, I have read how, once you apply AIO, then you apply SG on top.

Well....can I substitute #7 for SG? Then top it with Meg #26?

And I've found out that this product contains cleaners in it. How effective is the cleaning process compared to a standard pre-wax cleaner such as Meg #9 or DCS cleaner?

BTW, I read the instructions posted by jimwh and it was great.

In a word? No. :)

Testing may (or may not...) be ongoing by certain individuals to find out for sure, but glazes and sealant systems seem to be mutually exclusive products. You can do one or the other, but not both. A glaze will usually strip off sealants, and you can't (or shouldn't bother) apply glaze before going to sealant. So you're left with either Klasse with wax topper, or the traditional glaze/wax process.

I haven't used #7, but from what I know of it, it's basically considered non-abrasive. Any "cleaning" action isn't the same as with #9 or DCS cleaner - it's just from the solvents in it that can dissolve stuff (which is why it kills sealants).

Someone once long ago posted that glaze was "makeup for cars", and that's a good analogy. You polish with #9 or whatever, then apply glaze to help hide whatever you missed, then wax.

That's actually what I've been doing. I've been going with #7 and #26, but I was wondering if I could incorporate a sealant into the process without compromising #7.

I guess if I were to just get AIO and not SG, I can top it off with #26 or S100. Is SG that crucial to the process, or does remain durable without it?

Regardless I'm buying AIO soon to coat my wheels, which I'll be removing, cleaning, polishing, and coating. I heard AIO repels brake dust like magic.
