Can I apply Zaino with......

It seems like I'M getting a Cyclo polisher for Christmas:D So I wondered if I can use it to apply Zaino.

I read through some threads but found nothing on using a machine to apply it :nixweiss

What do you Zainaholics think, doable:bow

Thanks:wavey

I found Zaino easy to apply as it is .. but I think your going to loose a lot of product in the buffer pad. Use the buffer on a good MF towel to take it off.

My experience has been somewhat the opposite; I almost always use a PC to apply Zaino because I find it allows for thinner, more even coats, and I don't seem to use as much product as I do when I apply by hand. Again, this is just my experience . . . IMO, if you have finishing pads for the Cyclo, give it a try at least once (especially if you're doing same-day multiple coats with ZFX).

One thing to keep in mind is that Z5 is recommended to be applied in a back and forth motion which can't be done with a machine. There is a reason for this method. It may be ok for Z2.

My comment on using to much product wasn't through experience but from reading and it sounded logical.

Zaino will go on fine by machine. You generally use a bit more with a machine, due to the fact that it takes more product to load the pad. Sal doesn't recommend a machine because he feels it is a waste. It is more convenient though, and can speed things up a bit.

I normally just apply by hand, but when the urge hits I don't hesitate to use my PC with Z.

it would work fine with a machine, but you would be using a lot more product than if you did it by hand. You will probably get the same results also.

Thanks for the replies fellows, once I get the Cyclo I will do one car with it and one with out and I'll see what I like best:bow

Sal has no problem with removal of the polish with a PC or similar. He freely admits that you will use more polish during application. To get the most "milage" for your dollar, he recommends application by hand. If that's not an issue for you, go for it.
