can anyone recommend a good pressure (gas) washer?

 first off to all the Autopians on here, Happy New Year!


 


 with tax refund coming within the next few months, I'm looking to upgrade to a gas pressure washer. I have an electric karcher and it works fine, but am tired of having to roll out the extension cord everytime I use it. my budget is within $300-$350, and while most are probably garbage in the range, I plan on only using it to clean my families cars. any help would be appreciated so I can get an idea. don't know if I should buy one from home depot, lowe's or sears. thanks!

Off subject but,

Why don't companies make hybrid power washer and Generator setups?

This would be a detailers dream.


The power washer could have a separate switch, and you could use as Generator solely.

If this product exists, let me know.

I have a Husky pressure washer (Home Depot's brand). I've had it for 2 years now with no problems at all.

Not sure kf mine is a Husky but bought mine 6 years ago at HD. Works like a charm.

Over the years, mobile detailers have continually found that the brand name is not what counts, for years, those who have been in business for over 15 years always told me the same thing. Honda motor, Cat pump.

Pretty tight budget of $300-$350. I would check out Craig's List for a decent pre-owned one.

I would get one off of craigslist. Pumps go bad on Pressure washer and there pretty expensive to replace. This is a nice model at an affordable price. Enjoy.
