Campbell Hausfeld

I was getting ready to make out my Xmas list for a PC when my son, the genius said "Dad, you've got a pneumatic one now." I have a Campbell Hausfeld which claims to go to 10,000 RPMs and is adjustable. It holds a 6" pad but weighs 4.2 pounds and is a dual action polisher. My question, is this unit capable of producing the same results as a PC? Granted it would get old running the compressor when I need the polisher up, but might be a way to enter into the world of da polishers.
