Hey all,

I have a long time customer that brings me his 8+ or so vehicles roughly 3x a year.. over the years we have built a great working relationship and he really knows detailing to the autopian level unlike most regular clients. Yesterday while detailing his daughters Explorer, he stopped in with a gallon of the envirogaurd and asked me if i could try it out. He said a buddy of his uses this product at the new car stores and swore by it so much that he gave my client a fuul gallon of it and said it would be better than zaino on his 2010 vette zr1. i used it on his daughters vehicle and i was really impressed by how easy it was to work with. the looks of the product was very nice too.. Has anyone tried this sealant or regulary use it? My take on it is that if it was a great product than i would hear about it a little more. Maybe not?

Any imput would be greatly helpful.

Thanks,

Nick McGuire

It is not a bad sealant, just average.

The dealers would slap it on and then sell the customer on a warranty for big bucks.

CalTex didn't really care if the dealer put it on, as long as they got the warranty bucks.

Many dealers had the gallons, but few cars got it actually installed.

I was never too impressed with it. I have several gallons at my shop, but prefer other sealants. It's a basic oil water emulsion, definitely nothing special, and definitely won't compete with a lot of the high tech nano coatings you can find today.
