California Micromitt

I've never heard of this mitt specifically, but I have heard that microfiber mitts, in general, do not release dirt as well as sheepskin mitts or sponges, so there's a higher likelihood of scratching the paint. While the microfibers themselves won't scratch the paint, the dirt that gets caught in them and doesn't rinse out easily very well may. I don't know from firsthand experience though because I've never used an mf mitt before.
 
Sorry to bring this one back up but, I bought this too yesterday. Anybody use it or have any experience with it?
 
Well I've had it now for a little less than a month. I'm no veteran autopian by any means, therefore I will give a very brief and general review. But I like this mitt because:



1. It releases dirt very well.

2. Doesn't lint up like my chenelle mitts.

3. No scratches found yet (but I am very careful)



I haven't found a true sheepskin mitt yet, but I would like to try it and compare. So far it's done the best job for QEW and I am very happy with it. Before this I had bought 2 mitts. Both were the chenelle-type ones. The first one I bought at wal-mart and wasn't too bad. But I left at my parent's house in AZ. The second one I bought from pep-boys and STAY AWAY from it. It sheds like crazy, even AFTER washing in the washing machine. When my hand comes out of the mitt it is covered in lint. To the point where I have to rub my hands together to get the lint into little balls in order to remove them and my car has lint everywhere after it's dry. Just horrible. Anyways this California Micromitt replaced both of them and I can see myself using it for a long time. Until maybe I experience sheepskin.



sorry i meant sheepskin, not lambswool.. hahaha!
 
I also bought the mitt and tried it out. I do like it, but haven't used lambswool or sheepskin or whatever. I plan on trying those in the future.



One thing I didn't like about the mitt is the loop structure of microfiber strands. They grab onto every sharp corner on my truck. Emblems, fender corners, etc. I have to be extra careful not to rip an emblem off. Other than that, I like it.
