California Duster or PoorBoys Spray & Wipe ?????

What do you guys use on your own cars to keep them clean everyday? I have never used or seen a California Duster, but know people that like them. Or what about the PoorBoys Spray & Wipe waterless wash? My car is a daily driver (about 80 – 100 miles a day) so the day after I wash it it’s got dust, small tar spots, and black mist of **** on the rear bumper and behind the rear tires. What would some you recommend for me, other than getting out the buckets, and hose every two to three days? I would want it to look and be clean everyday. I mean it looks clean to everybody else if it hasn’t rained but I can see and feel the dust and dirt and brake dust.

Thanks in advance for the info.

Spray and Wipe is the best product I have used! The duster only removes loose dust, not tar, bugs atc. You can always use both. If I had to pick it would be S&W all the way.

I just picked up a CCD so I'll be using both now too. I use a 2 microfiber system with S&W. I spray, wait 30 seconds, wipe with the first towel and buff out with the second one...this helps to prevent streaks and ensures that you remove everything.

If I got the CCD, why not use it to get the loose dust and dirt and then use a QD. That would give it some slickness???? What is the diference between spray & wipe and QD? Do you use the Spray & Wipe like QD?

Yeah, do get both. My understanding of S&W is that it is strictly a cleaning, not a gloss enhancing spray. I assume its all surfactants rather than some silicone so more cleaning than shine.

Its true, S&W is only a cleaner (and a good one btw)

From the poorboys website on the QD+ page:

A fast and easy way to add Carnuba and UV protection. Use it after Spray & Wipe to finish off your quick wash and wax. You can also use it to enhance the shine when you pull into that show or cruise night.

so S&W to clean, QD+ to shine

The main point here is that Poorboy's Spray & Wipe is a much more versatile product. It is excellent on glass as well as its value as a waterless wash. Great on Bird Dooey too.

I pick up any large leave, pine straw, etc. then use the duster first to help remove debris (leaves, etc.) before using S&W. This helps to minimize the any scratching. The S&W will remove things like bird poo, leaf stains, window streaks.

One quick FYI re: the CCD:

Be sure to set it out on some newspaper for a while, at least several days ( I did 2 weeks with mine) in order for the newspaper to absorb the excess paraffin on the new duster. I also changed spots on the newspaper several times so all the wax didn't go into one saturated spot. Do this and you will drastically reduce if not elimiate first times streaking from the new duster :up

Thanks for the tip Bill...I bought one last week and am still getting parrafin residue from it...I change the paper every day.

also, don't use it when the surface is hot or if the surface is damp (in the morning when it's a little cold).

I CCD everyday and QD (Mothers) every few days :bounce
