Cadillac SRX "chrome"

Last night I bought my wife a new Cadillac SRX (black). In washing it off today, I noticed that the "chrome" trim on the top of each door had rusty specks on it, from having sat outside for the last few months. This surface seems to be an ABS "chrome" surface, and not a metal surface.



What should I use to clean and polish this surface?

I would try something like a KAIO first to see if that works.

Maybe some clay would be a good idea too. Congrats on the purchase!

I agreed with Joshtpa and Mikebai, try clay if not then KAIO it's probably rail dust that settle in on the trim and sat at the dealer's lot for awhile. Great purchase of the SRX!!!
