I admit I like being lazy after washing sometimes and I use Z8 instead of a more durable product, but with this CS I don't know why anyone would spend money on Z8 again. I'm not really bagging on Z8 but rather saying how much I like Zaino's Clear Seal. I think I have two Z8's laying around, will trade for some CS or even Z5Pro, that is if I can find them in my boxes after moving.

I wish I still had my CS, I'd trade it in a heartbeat. I think Z8 adds significantly more to the finish than CS does, so much so, I don't see the point of CS. Yeah, it is more durable but it doesn't amp up the look like Z8 does. :nixweiss

Anything else you might be interested in for your Z8?

I love z8 more. The added depth and gloss it provides is amazing. My detail is not done until z8 is final. I love CS too, but z8 is more important to me if I had to choose. CS on light colors is nice though.

I guess it's all preference

This is why I like CS and Z8, I use them both.

CS for its durability and looks that IMO does add wetness and depth to Z2/5pro.

Z8 for that extra bling it adds.

I've had beta CS over 3x of ZFX'd Z5pro for 7 months now on the wifes BMW. After doing a QEW wash today, I used Z8 for the first time since applying the CS. As usual Z8 added depth.

Do you guys ever use Z-8 on top of AJ-T ? Are they compatible?

I do not want AJ-T and Z-8 to counteract one another. As an alternative I may get one of Werkstatt's Glos QD to maintain in between washes...

What do you guys think?

Z8 will work fine over AJ or AJT. I used that combo last year when I had AJ on the wifes BMW for 4 months. I have even used Z8 over Natty's Blue before that.

Just a random thought - I agree that CS doesn't do much for the look after you've already got z5/z2 on there. However, using the 20 minute CS process I've been able to drop my exterior details to $99 granted to ease and simplicity of the product, and it looks good enough to satisfy my customers. Just wash (20 mins), possibly clay (30 mins), kAIO (30 mins) and CS... DONE! and boom you just made $50/hour!

Anyways, I think thats the glory behind CS and similar products.

Don't think I have anything to trade for Z8 but if you are interested in a straight up sale let me know. I've been wanting to try Z8 for a while.

I will admit CS does get really glossy after 8 hours and gets really slick also.

Also I Z6 my wheels, engine compartments, jambs, moldings, trim, and then apply CS to them. For instance, that Volvo I did last week, all I did was wash the wheels, dry, z6 spray to clean dust, and then CS. That was it and the customer said they had never seen the wheels so friggin shiny like that.

Also I can go back and hit all those pieces with z8 also for even more pop!

Also on interior plastic trim I use z8 to protect and shine the pieces. Works super on wood trim.

I would not give up either one.

Man, some of you guys are far off base as far as the looks of CS IMO. I swear the stuff looks a mile deep and super wet. I wont be using anything else anytime soon. Z8 offers nothing that CS doesn't, except it's a little cheaper. My details these days are clay/ZAIO/CS, but if the car is clean first just wash and CS and that's it. Nobody can tell the difference between the best wax out there and just CS, and neither can I. Funny how you get so many differing opinions. Check your PM frito.

I'd keep all of them if I were you. These days, I like to mix Z6/Z8 for QD chores after washing (or better said, during my drying process) . It's slick, with lots of lube and helps keep down marring when drying off your vehicle + adds pop and protection.

I haven't seen a better finish on prepped paint than ZAIO + CS -especially metallic. It's absolutely stunning -and the 'locked in look' that you get from CS lasts several months. :xyxthumbs

I have such a hard time applying CS that I usually end up having to go back and fix the streaking with Z8 anyway, so I just do a final Z8 wipedown over the whole car after the CS has cured.

My new LSP process: Menzerna Final Touch Glaze, 3x ZFX'd Z2, CS, Z8. Looks absolutely unreal. The FTG really gets rid of alot of the Zaino's plasic-y look, adds depth and a warm glow. To me, I get all the depth, warmth, and glow of a good carnauba, with the incredible shine of Zaino. The jury is still out on if the FTG will adversely affect the durability of the Zaino, though.

But as others have said, it's great having both the CS and Z8 around.
