buying my first detailing machine!

alright i am a complete noob and i have searched thro the site.



i have an 07 white cayman and i just got finished dawning the car twice and claying(the 1st time) and i am now wondering what the next step is. polish and then wax i belive which leads me to my next question. what machine should i use to apply wax and polish. a pc or a rotary?(i dont really know what a rotary is)

keep in mind im trying to keep the $ as low as possible (under 150)
 
I would go with a PC.



You can pick one up for 99$ on ebay. This is your safest bet and you won't have to worry about some of the mistakes you can make with the rotary. :soscared:
 
what kind of pads should i start off with. i am thinking of detailing a few cars for money in the later future
 
Sorry but I have to say that you gotta learn to use the search function. All of these questions have been more or less answered.
 
Lowes used to have them, but I'm more than sure they're gone from the shelves by now(I got one for $45.00) you can't go wrong when ordering packages from Danase.com or autogeek.net Depends where you are located to get it sooner.
 
Cyclo, the easiest running, smoothest running orbital type detailing machine you will encounter! Not cheap, but quality never is. Has 2, 4 " heads that can be turned sideways/whatever to get into the majority of places, be it small or whatever.

At least 5 times easier to use than the PC, won't shake you to death and leave your hands feeling like you've been attached to a chain/buzz saw, Cheaper pads, although you do need 2 (2 heads).



If you are seriously considering a tool (orbital type) this is the best there is!

When I say expensive it is sort of a relative thing, you will spend probably $100.00 more for a cyclo than a PC, while searching the Internet for deals. Easier on pads/wallet Legiondary rugedness and the best customer service in the world!



The best analogy I can think of for the PC vs Cyclo would be the difference between 12:00 midnight and 12:00 . All the lights will come on and you will understand why the cyclo kicks donkeys !
