Buying from HD. Shipping costs.

I really want to buy some of the new product line. I put 2 gallons of Total, a gallon of Glass, a gallon of Dress, 32 oz of Protect, and 16 oz. of Express.


 


$105. So what.


 


Then I went to the checkout page and the minimum shipping cost for UPS Ground, which is the absolute slowest carrier for my area, is $42! half the price of the order.


 


Why does HD not offer some sort of reduced/lost cost shipping option? I know it will take a bit to get the stuff here from Cali, I'm not concerned with the shipping time, but the cost is outrageous.


 


So HD, Any other options?


 


I'm a dire hard follower of your products. I talk about Polish, Cut to people all the time. Can you make a solution that makes this viable? Paying half as much for shipping as the cost of the order is just too much. Surely I'm not the only person that has experienced this.

 holiday season is upon us and there may be some specials in the works (black friday, Christmas). hold tight it's right around the corner... :)
 
Is the 200 and free shipping a coupon code? Could not get it to work just by adding to cart.


 


The issue is I run a business, and can't always wait until special discounts to buy product.

Mark - As their retail presence continues to grow, 3D is working on setting up an East Coast distribution point in the very near future to reduce the shipping costs and time for orders. 
 
I live in GA and when I need anything from HD I call the Miami store. It gets here much quicker and the shipping is a little less. I am just a weekend ametuer detailer since I got two black cars. But whatever I have bought shipping seemed fairly reasonable.
 
Rocky, thats a great idea. I might call the Miami store when I'm ready to order. I'm getting like 6-7 gallons total so at least getting it faster might help.


 


David, that would be a huge step forward for HD/3D. Will be looking forward to hearing updates as this happens.


 


I think I'm gonna wait for Black Friday and see what's in store. :)
 
The $200 limit doesn't work. My last order was $220 and I put a note in requesting the free shipping and was told they are not offering that anymore or at this time. I was given a free 32oz bottle of touch instead. But still paid $40 in shipping which is pretty ridiculous.

Where are you seeing this?

We just added the Free Shipping back today on orders over $200.. hdcarcare.com only.
