Buy Paint

I thought about that, but I'd think I could find it cheaper online...
Probably not by the time you pay for shipping. Paints, reducers etc, being liquids (and hazardous liquids at that) are pretty heavy to ship.

Plus, the high quality stuff is a commercial, rather than consumer product. You don't see it heavily discounted too often.

PC.

Anyone know where to buy good, high quality automotive paint?

Depends on what you want. A good quality body shop supply store should carry several different lines (as well as grades) of paint. My jobber sells everything from House of Kolor to PPG to RM paints. It all depends on what kind of quality you are looking for and what you are going to be painting. Also, IMHO the price is the last thing you should be considering when you are buying automotive paint.

It's not that I'm looking for the cheapest paint, I mean I want is a good quality paint, but If I can find the same product cheaper online, why not save a few bucks.

I don't see it happening. I buy a lot of paint and you usually won't get any significant discount on name brand, professional line/quality paint unless you are buying A LOT of paint.

:bow You got that right. With all the labor you put into a quality paint job, why cheap out on the paint? Get the absolutely best you can afford.

He's not trying to cheap out on the paint, he said first thing that he wants good, high quality paint. He is just trying to find a place that has some good deals so he can save himself a few dollars if possible. Why pay $20 more for the exact same product?

I think a valuable lesson for a lot of people to learn is that if you spend all kinds of time trying to find the best deal for minimal return - you didn't really save anything. Cost VS. benefit. I know what my time is worth and if I am shopping around for something I better be saving a significant amount of money to justify the time I am spending or it just isn't worth it. To draw an analogy: it's like the boneheads who troll endlessly up and down the lanes in a mall parking lot looking for the absolute best space. I just park in the first open spot I find and by the time I have walked to the doors I am usually already in the mall before I would have even found a "good" parking spot.

PS. This little rant was not directed at the gentleman who posted the original question. I just felt it was relevant to the discussion of finding good deals.
