Business Problem With QEW..........

I love QEW...first off! BUT, something has come to my attention when I was servicing some customer's vehicles lately. I'm wondering if people are seeing me wash customer's vehicles with no hose, no soap suds around, and are intimidated and go to conclusions that I'm washing people's vehicles with just water.:nixweiss I'm paying attention to this because I would like to drum up more business when I'm out servicing someone's vehicle. That way people can see for themselves the quality of my work...but when they don't see the traditional form of car washing being used....I'm hoping that isn't what keeps them from inquiring about my services.

I wonder if putting up a sign stating what I use and what it does would be a better solution....I don't know?:nixweiss

By no means would I ever give up on QEW....it has been a life saver to my work and my business in so many ways!:xyxthumbs

Anyone else experiencing this?

I've had people come up and ask me how I am washing cars with just a bucket of water and I simply explain to them what I am using. They are always amazed that I can get cars clean with so little water.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. If they see you using soap and water, they'll say the chemicals are killing the environment or you're using industrial detergents or whatever they'll say. Who cares? Just do a good job and be enthusiastic when someone comes over to talk and things will be fine. No sense in being overly neurotic about it.

:xyxthumbs True. At least with QEW, no one can say you are letting soaps and grease run into the storm drains and into the water supply.

In addition, you aren't getting anyone else's car wet on windy days with QEW.

That's all true bretfraz and scottwax.:xyxthumbs

This problem is not aimed at those who walk up and ask, it's aimed at those who assume and don't ask. People don't like change, and they especially don't like change if they don't know nothing about what's being changed....hence the revolutionary way to clean your vehicle without a hose...QEW.

My business is still in it's infancy, and the last thing I need is to give my name a bad one becuase people THINK I wash vehicles with just water. This explains my "neurotic" behavior bretfraz. :D

I know....the question I'm asking is a tough one.....How do I interest potential clients in my service, if all they see me washing a vehicle with is what they presume to be just water...but really is our beloved QEW?

Wait a minute....I got it! I'll create my A sign like I've been procastinating doing for months, and I'll put on it that I use enviromentally friendly products to clean your vehicle or something along those lines.:xyxthumbs

What do you think?

Good idea - I'm not a pro but I am sure that by telling your customers what you use and the benefits to their car's appearance or the environment it will help your business tremendously.

A lot of people over here regard car cleaning as being a science anyway so using new, weird & wonderful products can't be a negative surely?

Jeez - I've just reread that and it sounded to me almost like I was telling the pros how to operate!

This ain't the case guys - maybe it's my sales background coming through a bit too much. I'd never dream of telling you guys how to run your businesses so sorry if what I said offended at all.
