Business name thoughts

Here are a few ideas that I have thought of. I am looking to provide a mobile service to my clientele. I am open for constructive feedback. Thanks :thx

1. RI In Detail (Live and work in Rhode Island)

2. RI Professional Detailing

3. Always Perfection Automobile Detailing

4. JTIS In Detail (JTIS are my initials)

5. JTIS Auto Detailing

I had a document saved with various biz names that I liked and came up with one that I hadn't registered yet so I won't share it. To come up with my list I thought a lot and used a thesaurus and pictured a logo that I envisioned. That helped a lot with coming up with my list.

RI Mobile Detailing isn't bad

RI Splash-n-Dash

RI Gloss-n-Go

Detail Czar

RI Concours Detailing

Think of words that catch the customer and remember. Use the thesaurus and think of bubbles, clean, glossy, reflections, mirror, suds, shine, etc...

And always make sure you're not infringing on someone elses idea that is already a done deal. ©

My $.02:

I would highly suggest picking a name that is easy to say and isn't part of your name. When coming up with ideas, say the possible name out loud like you were answering the phone:

Thanks for calling "RI In Detail"....

Thanks for calling "RI Professional Detailing"....

Thanks for calling "Always Perfection Automobile Detailing"...

Do you really want to have to say "Always Perfection Automobile Detailing" when answering the phone?

You want to pick something that is easy to speak out loud and put in print.

Also, I'd be very careful using any word like "perfection". You are setting the bar very high with that word and if you don't achieve it with each detail, well...people won't be happy and that could result in a lack of business from past and future customers.

If I were you, I'd look at one, possibly two-word business name (I think one-word name is ideal). Anymore than that and it gets to complicated to speak and print, especially when it comes to a logo.

When I started, I went by Apollo Auto Detailing. I dropped "Auto" from Apollo Detailing about 1-1.5 years ago. It wasn't necessary.

If you are going to have a website check to see if the .com address is available to reference your company name.

I'm dealing with this issue right now. I am tired of answering, "Executive Detail East, this is Jean-Claude."

I think I will change my name to Billy Wax after my first name, William.

In addition to Mikes post...which is dead on...make sure your name is catchy enough, so the CUSTOMER remembers it! Its key! It took some time to think of my name as well, but it make sense!

your #3 choice was good i think you should drop the always part though

I like "perfection detail" it makes a statement about your quality.
