That sucks.... I know this is going to be hard to look at but... Its sooooo low on the car and you have a dark enough color. I'd get some touch up paint and lightly touch it up. I know I could get it where you couldn't see it from 4-5 feet away and your eye for sure wouldnt goto it. I say this because its a bumper they will get hit again... I'd save repaint for something bad.

Sorry to read that.

I feel your pain - except mine was self-inflicted. They delivered the wood for my fence rebuild on the Friday prior to Labor Day. By Labor Day, I had forgotten and backed my Sonata into it. $775.

oh man, the damage is so bad, you should probably think about trading it in.:jawdrop:
sorry dhaval, that sucks. it really doesn't look that bad though. work your mad detailing skills and see what you can do with it. :bigups

They feel deep, it happened on the way to work something hit the bumper coming to the office today. I am going to inspect it closer when I get home.

Thanks for comment I call it the "Boss Gloss" stole that from the Stig.

Yea thats what I am thinking sand it a bit and hit with M105 and M205 and touch up if needed.

Trade in did cross my mind:rockon

Left the office early, with intentions to take care of this ASAP. Damage wasn't that bad at all. I am still trying to figure out how it happened. Its paint transfer but giving the angle I don't know what I hit or hit me.

Some before pics.

First I gave the bumper a waterless wash with Blackfire Waterless.
Next, I was going to sand it first but went with the Wolfgang Uber Compound and blue hybrid pad on the Flex. After priming the pad I let it sit for a minute or 2 and cranked up the flex to speed six with 5 to 6 passes.

Uber compound did the trick with the blue hybrid pad, next I finished with HT red pad and M205

And Lastly flat red pad with BFWD...

Great job !!!!
Thank goodness it was just paint transfer !
Probably something in the road - a piece of someone's car parts after an earlier accident or something....
The best part is that you are good to go and no annoying trips to the Insurance people and the body shop, etc.....
Great save !

A member on AGO asked this. It was a great questions so I wanted to share my thoughts here as well.

Nice job. In your opinion, how does WG Uber compare with Megs 105 ?

Great question, I love M105 it works great and with the proper pad you can get your paint LSP ready with M105. And the same can be said for Uber compound. The working time is a lot better on the Uber, much easier to wipe off, and I got LSP ready finish from variety of pads.

So it now comes down to price I paid like $20 for 8oz of Uber vs $9.00 8 oz of M105

im guessing thats a body shop estimate

glad to see that the problem is fixed. nice job

Great end result.

A couple of months ago, my DD got paint removed from the rear bumper, while parked, in a parking structure at work. The type of damage was similar to yours but was too deep. Cost = $495.
