Bulk amount of Quick Detailer (aka Clay Lubricant)

I've been using the regular OTC Meguiar's Quik Detailer for claying, but as I get rougher condition jobs, I see myself having to replenish this the most often out of my detailing products. Just wondering if anyone knows of a good replacement or place to purchase some of this in a larger quantity over the "big" spray bottle at Auto Zone & Wal-Mart. I'm not partial to Meg's brand, just need a good clay lube/quick detailer :)

So far I've found Meguiar's Direct Last Touch Spray Detailer but not sure if there are any better values out there. Thanks in advance!

Last Touch in gallons would be a lot more economical than bottles of QD over the counter. Most online vendors carry the Detailer line, buying gallons is a good time to watch for the free shipping offers, they're heavy and kind of pricey to ship sometimes.

There's a lot of things that can be used for clay lube out there in addition to dedicated lubes and QDs. I always favor products that can do double or triple duty. As Yakky pointed out, ONR is a great clay lube mixed at that dilution. At another dilution rate it's a decent QD and it's always a superb rinseless wash. Some vendors offer 8 oz sizes, if you like it buy it in gallons.

I'm sure others will be chiming in with their preferences.

what dilution have you been using? I had a hard time using ONR as a clay lube recently.

Whatever's recommended on the bottle or slightly stronger. I keep a spray bottle mixed at QD or lube strength, whichevers stronger, and use it for QD, lube and spot cleaning. I've used it outside design parameters as a waterless wash as well.

I use onr myself. I think it is 2 oz or so per 32 oz bottle? Or 8/gallon?

I do have about 5 bottles of the mothers stuff that comes with their clay since that is he clay I've been using recently. Not sure of another clay to buy in bulk that is like it.

For touch ups I use QD, Zaino Z6 in my case. But for full clay jobs I always use auto shampoo. Nothing works better for me and is very economical and fast.

Do you mean something like Meguiar's Gold Class car wash shampoo? If so what dilution?

I use Megs Professional Line No. 34 Final Inspection and ,yes, it's available in Gallon jugs for about $22-$25 at most auto supply places. Works great. I am not sure if it was David Fermani or JuneBug who was using ONR as a lube, but then went back to Megs No.34.

If you want to ClayMagic's lube, you will need to find an AutoMagic distributor who sells their clay lube as No.49 Body Shine in gallon jugs.
