I'm putting this thread here because PB's BS is a prewash. In NJ the weather has been poor the last week. Tons of salt on the road and it has been raining everyday.:snow: I really wanted to wash my car in the shop but right when I pull it out it would be dirty.

Yesterday I busted out the BS. I've never used it on salt. Oh man it is uhnbelievable! I cleaned my wheels then sprayed the whole car with BS then pressurewashed it off. No salt or residue left. when I pulled out of the shop it was raining so I didn't dry the car off but at least the salt was off .:rockon

We are having the same basic road salt conditions here right now so the idea definitely has some appeal to me.
Have you or any others used the Bug Squash pre-soak prior to using either Poorboy's S&W or a rinseless wash?

While I have not done it using either of those wash methods, I would suggest if using it as a pre-rinse that way not to spray the entire vehicle with BS. I believe I read somewhere that letting it dry on the surface is not the route to take when using BS. Maybe a 30 - 45 second dwell time. In cooler temps, I've let it dwell for longer periods on other people's vehicles with the occasional "re-spray" on tough areas.

Agree that it should not dry on the paint....I do the bug areas one at a time, just to keep this from happening....do agree that this stuff rocks!

Since I do both waterless and rinseless washes a section at a time I wouldn't be pre-soaking the entire vehicle. My thought was to spray only the heavily coated areas of a section just prior to doing that section with the wash solution.

you should dilute it either 2:1 or 1:1 depending on how bad the salt residue is ;)

I keep two bottles diluted for backup of the one with the sprayer in it. I know one bottle has been sitting for a while because it's third string.

I have put a 1/2 ounce of Bug Squash in a 5 gallon bucket with 2 ounces of SuperSlick and Suds after salt has set up residence on my car.It definitely makes washing the car easier. The salt and all the other road dirt/grime comes off with a minimum of effort.
I haven't used Bug Squash in my foam gun but I will this winter.:passout:
