Bug sponge

I have seen those bug sponges, looks like a mesh net around the sponge. Will these scratch my paint? Some of those bugs are hard to get off!!

Get a good bug remover. I use ProWax's Bug Remover. First thing I do is spray it on the bugs, I'll then go and clean all my tires. After cleaning my wheels I'll start washing the car like normal. By the time I get to the bugs the bug cleaner has dones its magic and the bugs just wash right off. Even ones that have been dried on and baked on by the sun.

Will the bug remover, remove the wax or polish?

Can't speak for every product but it's probably a safe bet to say yes across the board.

I was using the Eimann Fabrik stuff on my friend’s car and he seemed to think it was ether based. Anyone know for sure?

Yes it does. That is why I recommend my customers have me apply ProWax's Bug Guard. It stops the bugs and they just wash off easily when you wash your car again.

The best luck I have had with bugs is to make sure the front end, and mirrors (along wit the rest of the car) are always waxed and protected really good. Then I keep the car clean and try not to let the bugs build up. When I do wash the car, I wet the front down and let it soak for a while while I continue to wash the car, and they soften up.

What do the bug removers do to SG? I have three layers of Klasse SG. If I use a bug remover to take the bugs off should I put another coat of SG on? I have been using FI QD to remove bugs. Soaking them well with the QD, they soften and can be removed with a rag.
