Buffpro e-mail...

Clean Dean

Keep it clean !!!
Received an e-mail from Detailplus advertising a new "swirl free buffing machine". Any one try this ?

Looks a little crazy to me:

The BuffPro System

Looks extremely bulky and a real pain to get that monster into tight areas. However looks like a great tool for one stepping a boat or motor home.

I bought it and after a few attempts to get it to work on cars I'm starting to think it was a waste of money. Reasons:

Not as easy to move around like a rotary or da

Cutting not as good as a rotary (will try a few more times but my flex da seems to cut better)

Makes the polish (Power Finish, recommended by the sellers) powder like crazy - more time cleaning the mess.

Leaves a hard to remove haze, very visible on black cars (hazes all cars then) making it not possible to do a good one stage job.

I'll keep trying but it is the third job now that after doing half of the bonnet and a fender I drop it and go back to my flex or orbital to get the job done.

I will try to write a proper buffpro review and comparison with photos etc. when I have time.

Please do. It seems with how great this machine allegedly is, nobody except the creator and reseller is grand standing about it.

Ah, yes, Bud's latest abomination. No thanks!

And besides, I thought they were all about moving everyone/everything to pneumatic tools?
